A Little Christmas Cheer

I got this for Stephen for the 10th day of Christmas and I loved it more than he did. Probably because I hang out with four year olds. Anywho, you push on the reindeer and out pops a yummy surprise. The package says "have a poopin Christmas", I am not sure how you do that but I bet if anyone could it would be Stephen.

Vacation '08 Baby!

Stephen and I just went to Grand Cayman with his family and another family friend couple. Make sense? It was beautiful and we had fun! The highlight of the trip for me was that I went scuba diving for the first time! I was scared going into the trip but, I really enjoyed diving. We went on some wreck dives and dove (or dived) with the stingrays. The stingrays have a bad rap because of Steve Irvin but, that whole thing was just a big misunderstanding. Stingrays are actually pretty friendly, especially if you are holding squid. Here are some pics of our trip!

Yipee!!!

I am so thankful and excited! The Lord just blessed me with an awesome job. I get to teach Pre-K part-time for Northwest ISD. I have to give a shout out to Brandy (LYLAS) for letting me know about the position and emailing the principal. I can't wait to start!

Road Trip

Stephen and I set our on our great adventure at 6am on Wednesday morning. We were 3 hours into our 13 and a half hour drive to Cuthbert, GA when we had a blow out. Thankfully it was a safe blowout. Stephen changed the tire and we drove into Shreveport on the donut and an hour and half later we back in business.

We had a good time visiting his family in Georgia. Stephen's grandma is amazing! She is 92 years old and lives alone. She is so cute! We were able to see his uncles also. Stephen thoroughly documented the town of Cuthbert, GA. He is our family historian and he took pictures of every conceivable thing in Cuthbert, even every hole of the 9 hole course there.

We had a good time and are glad we were able to see everyone.

Bath time

I asked Stephen to give Isabelle a bath and this is what I saw when he was finished. He loves that dog! In a manly way, of course. She looks like an ewok.

We just want to thank all of our faithful friends and family who have comitted to pray for us as we desire a child. We are so thankful for the encouragement and prayers that God has used to strengthen us throughout this process. He has gone before us every step of the way and prepared our hearts. I am so thankful for His love and compassion as we walk down the road that He has laid before us.
Many have asked where we are in the process and the answer is that we are still praying and waiting. We are praying that God shows us clearly what His will is for us. We would love to adopt. We pray that He provides the baby He wants for us either through adoption or pregnancy. We are excited to see where He leads.
During the school year last year Stephen and I both felt the Lord leading me to work only part-time next year. This was a hard decision because I LOVE teaching. However, God confirmed to us that we need to step out in faith and trust Him. I don't know His reason for me going to part-time but we pray that it is because He has prepared a baby for us in His timing. If not, then I trust that it will His plan be revealed in another way.
We want our friends and family to know that we appreciate them and their precious prayers!

Day at the Lake!

We had a great time yesterday celebrating Atticus' birthday at the lake with the Gill's and Watson's. We jet skied and cooked out until the wee hour of 9 o'clock. It was a blast! We went tubing and I am sore from holding on with all my might. Marcus had a little trouble stopping the jet ski at one point (see picture). I had some hard time turning the jet ski and flipped with Anna, Dina, and Jackson all on board. Poor Jackson!
