Perfect Timing

A few weeks ago a dove made a nest up high in our garage and started sitting on her eggs.  That little mama didn't move the whole time.  Her husband bird would bring her food and come visit (sounds great huh?).  We enjoyed checking on her and seeing that little bird everyday.  We left our garage door open so that Mr. Bird could come in and out.

Yesterday afternoon Charis and I were in the play room and I heard Mama Bird cooing like crazy and so we went out to  check on her.  There were four birds there; Mama, Daddy, and two littles.  I guess they had been hatched for a few weeks and we didn't know.  I tried to crawl up to look and they all took off.  The babies stayed close by but eventually flew to our fence.  I was sad to see her go because we all enjoyed seeing her when we drove in.  This morning I realized that it was perfect timing for them to leave because in a few days we go on a trip and can't leave our garage open the whole week.  That poor little bird would have starved.  God even had perfect timing for that little bird.  He had her leave just in time so that they would be safe.  That is so neat.

"Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?"

Matthew 6:26
